• Grey trousers or shorts, royal blue or grey skirt or pinafore
• White polo shirt (with school logo preferred) or white blouse 
• Royal blue and white check summer dress or shorts jumpsuit 
• Royal blue cardigan/sweatshirt (with school logo preferred)/jumper 
• White ankle or knee length socks, grey or navy socks (not trainer socks) 
• Navy blue, grey or white tights (not to be worn with socks or under jumpsuits) 

As above with the addition of either a white polo shirt, white revere collar blouse or white shirt.

A tie must be worn with a shirt (not required with a polo shirt or revere collar blouse).  

School ties are available from the school office at £4.50 each.

Year 6 Leavers’ hoodies are only permitted in the summer term. These will be given to children at the end of their SATs week. 

All black flat-heeled shoes or all black trainer style shoes should be worn. Trainers must be all black including soles, logos and laces. High tops/ over the ankle style trainers are not acceptable. Dark coloured boots may only be worn when there is heavy rain, snow or very low temperatures. For health and safety reasons, open-toed shoes, ballet type shoes and sling-backed heels are not acceptable.  

Children in EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 should have a blue book bag.

In Early Years and Key Stage 1, all kit should be clearly named and kept in a named, drawstring P.E. bag. These PE kits should be kept in school through the week and will be sent home to be washed regularly.  In Key Stage 2 children should come into school on their designated PE day wearing the correct PE kit.  

• Polo shirt (with logo preferred) or plain white t-shirt (for sports day a t-shirt in house colours is requested) 
• Trainers or black plimsolls – Velcro trainers in KS1 are preferred 
• All skorts and shorts, including cycling shorts, must be mid-thigh to knee length. These should be navy or royal blue. 
• If your child is representing St Martin’s at a sporting event, they must be in royal blue shorts 
• Navy or royal blue leggings / jogging suit are also permitted 

• An art shirt or overall is needed for craft activities to be kept in school all week. An old adult shirt is acceptable.

Standard analogue watches are permitted from Year 2 upwards. No smartwatches or digital watches, including Fitbits and fitness trackers, are permitted at school.  One small, plain, stud earring in each earlobe is permitted, no more than 5mm. Ideally, ear piercing should take place at the beginning of a summer holiday. Children will need to be able to remove these themselves for all P.E. sessions. However, if you wish your child to continue wearing their earrings during PE then you will need to complete the form at the end of the uniform policy (see appendix 1).  

Children will be asked to remove any smartwatches or additional earrings: these will be kept safely and will be returned to the parent or carer at the end of the day or when convenient for parent or carer to collect these.  No additional jewellery (including rings, necklaces or bracelets) are permitted at school. 

Shoulder length or longer hair must be away from the collar and must be tied up with a blue, grey or white hair band. Only grey, blue or white headband/Alice bands are permitted. All hair styles should be appropriate to a primary school environment, e.g. without effects like Mohicans, tram lines or where the scalp can be seen. Hair must be natural in colour and hair colouring will not be permitted. Pupils are welcome to wear their hair in hairstyles associated with their racial, ethnic and cultural identity, however, any twists, braids or cornrows should be a natural hair colour.  

 These are not permitted and your child will be asked to remove them. 

The schools will take into consideration religious and cultural customs where parents make a request for a reasonable adjustment to the current school uniform. Such requests must be made in writing for the attention of the Senior Leadership Team who will consider the request.
